Abstract (Croatian)

U radu je prikazan postojeći ručni način rada u laboratorijima građevinskog instituta i njegovi nedostaci te se razmatra poboljšanje rada informatizacijom. Slijedilo je koncipiranje informacijskog sustava za upravljanje laboratorijskim ispitivanjima materijala naziva e- Laboratorij sa primjenom na Internetu. Provedena je analiza laboratorijskog procesa pri čemu su definirane faze i opisan njegov tijek. Sistematizirana su podatkovna obilježja i organizirana u bazu podataka. Stvorena je radna baza i baza podataka stručnog znanja. Definirane su korisničke okoline sustava. Oblikovana je radna okolina sa stranicama svakog radnog procesa i pripadajućim podatkovnim obilježjima te njihove veze sa stranicama okoline za korištenje znanja. Oblikovanjem okoline za stvaranje znanja definirajna su sva obilježja potrebna za opisivanje ekspertnog znanja koje se pohranjuje u bazu podataka stručnog znanja. Definirani su procesi učenja sustava sa svrhom proširivanja i nadograđivanja baze podataka stručnog znanja. U radu je opisano korištenje svake pojedine okoline, a simulacijom rada prikazano je funkcioniranje sustava za slučajeve poznate i nove situacije. \Na primjerima ispitivanja čelika za armiranje prikazano je pregledavanje podataka iz baze podataka prema različitim kriterijima. Za odabrano vlačno svojstvo rebrastog čelika za armiranje provedena je obrada metodama opisne statistike i statističkih testiranja hipoteza: ttest, F-test i analiza varijance. Kao primjer eksploratorne analize primijenjena je metoda faktorske analize armirano-betonskog nosača. Provedena je kvantitativna usporedba informacijskog i ručnog načina rada. Opisane su stranice e-Laboratorij sustava i principi njegove primjene na Internetu. \Na kraju se iznose zaključci o doprinosima u poboljšanju rada, razmatraju perspektive daljnjeg razvoja te moguće prepreke i ograničenja.

Abstract

This thesis made a review of the existing way of manual work in the laboratories of civil engineering institute and its inadequacies. It looks into the possibilities for improvement by way of introducing information technology. What followed was the conceptualization of the information system for laboratory testing of materials called e-Laboratory with its Internet application. The analysis of the laboratory process was carried out by dividing it into phases and then describing the workflow. Data attributes were systematized and organised into databases. Two databases were created: a working database and an expert knowledge database. User environments were defined. Working environment with the web pages of each working phase and related data attributes was designed along with connections to the knowledge application environment. Due to designing of the knowledge generation environment all attributes needed for describing the expert knowledge were defined and used for data storage in the knowledge database. Knowledge acquisition processes were defined with the purpose of enlargement and expansion of the expert knowledge database. Working with each of the environments was described and a simulation of the system operation was created for the cases of familiar and new situations. Examples of reinforcing steel testing were used to show the possibilities of reviewing the databases according to various criteria. Data analysis of the selected tensile property of reinforcing steel was performed by methods of descriptive statistics and statistic hypothesis testing including t-test, F-test and analysis of variance. In the example of exploratory analysis the method of factor analysis of a reinforced concrete beam was performed. Quantitative comparison of the manual and computerised way of work was elaborated. Web pages of the e-Laboratory system were described together with the priciples of their Internet application. Finally, conclusions about the improvements were made and prospects for further development were discussed along with possible obstacles and constraints.
