Abstract (Croatian)

Radiografska metoda je jedna od najčešće korištenih metoda nerazornih ispitivanja. Prednosti radiografskog ispitivanja pred ostalim \NDT metodama su: sposobnost otkrivanja volumnih nepravilnosti, sposobnost uočavanja značajnijih varijacija u sastavu materijala te trajni zapis. Radiografskom se metodom, također, mogu provoditi ispitivanja većine metalnih materijala, bez obzira na njihovu magnetičnost, kao i ispitivanja nemetalnih materijala i kompozita. Radiografska se metoda osobito koristi pri ispitivanju zavarenih spojeva. Tehnički zahtjevi koji osiguravaju zahtijevanu osjetljivost i kvalitetu radiografske slike propisani su normom HR\N E\N 1435. Međutim, kod ispitivanja koja se provode u terenskim uvjetima zahtjevi propisani normom često se ne mogu ispuniti jer svi elementi ispitnih sustava nisu osigurani. Ciljevi istraživanja, prikazanog u ovome radu, bili su, prije svega, ispitati mogućnosti upotrebe izotopa Ir192 pri radiografskom ispitivanju zavarenih spojeva čeličnih cijevi ukupne prozračene debljine manje od 20mm te istražiti mogućnosti smanjenja broja ekspozicija propisanih normom za pojedine tehnike radiografskog ispitivanja čeličnih cijevi. U okviru istraživanja, ispitane su i mogućnosti upotrebe radiografskih filmova različitih razreda osjetljivosti.

Abstract

Radiography is one of the most widely used non-destructive testing method. The advantages of radiographic testing over other NDT methods include: the ability to detect internal flaws, the ability to reveal significant variations in material composition and a permanent record of the testing carried out. Furthermore, most metallic materials, regardless of their magnetic properties, as well as non-metallic materials and composites can be tested by radiography. Radiography is especially used in welded joint testing. The requirements regarding the sensitivity and the quality of radiographic images are determined by HRN EN 1435 standard. However, when testing is carried out under field conditions, the requirements, determined by the standard, may not be fulfilled due to a possible lack of certain testing system elements. This thesis presents an investigation into different possibilities of steel pipe welded joint radiographic testing. Firstly, the use of Ir192 gamma ray source in radiographic testing of steel pipe welded joints of total exposed thickness less than 20 mm was tested. Secondly, different possibilities of reducing the number of exposures, determined by the standard, for particular radiographic testing techniques were investigated. The use of radiographic films of various sensitivity classes was also examined.
