Abstract (Croatian)
Nusprodukti dezinfekcije voda spadaju u skupinu kancerogenih tvari, a nastaju reakcijom klora i ozona s prirodnom organskom tvari otopljenom u vodi. Modificiranom koagulacijom moguće je ukloniti dio prirodne organske tvari u obliku ukupnog i otopljenog organskog ugljika te time smanjiti mogućnost nastanka dezinfekcijskih nusprodukata. Na uzorcima vode iz jezera Njivice na otoku Krku provođena su laboratorijska ispitivanja i mjerenja učinkovitosti modificirane koagulacije aluminijevim sulfatom i željezovim kloridom. U odnosu na početni sadržaj ukupnog i otopljenog organskog ugljika ustanovljeno je smanjenje koncentracije prirodne organske tvari u vodi i to do 59% aluminijevim sulfatom te 66% željezovim kloridom.
Abstract
Disinfection byproducts in waters belong to the group of carcinogens and are a result of reactions of chlorine and ozone with natural organic matter dissolved in water. By means of enhanced coagulation the removal of natural organic matter in the form of total and dissolved organic carbon reduces the possibility of dissinfection byproducts forming. The samples of water collected at the lake Njivice on the island Krk were subjected to laboratory testing to examine the effectiveness of the enhanced coagulation with aluminum sulfate and ferric chloride. In relation to the initial concentration of total and dissolved organic carbon the results showed a decrease in the concentration of natural organic matter in water by up to 59% using aluminum sulfate and up to 66% using ferric chloride.
