Abstract (Croatian)

Cilj ovog rada je bio ispitati mogućnost zaštite ugljičnog čelika u 3,5 % otopini \NaCl prikladnim ekološkim inhibitorima korozije. Ugljični čelik je odabran za ispitivanje jer je jedan od najčešće korištenih konstrukcijskih materijala, dok je 3,5 % \NaCl otopina odabarana s ciljem simuliranja morskog okoliša koji uzorukuje brzu i jaku koroziju čelika. Mjerenja su provedena elektrokemijskim metodama (Tafelova metoda ekstrapolacije, metoda linearne polarizacije i elektrokemijska impendacijska spektroskopija). Ispitivana je mogućnost zaštite ugljičnog čelika pomoću tri ekološki prihvatljiva inhibitora: 1) cerij (III) klorid heptahidrat, 2) amino-trimetilen fosfonska kiselina (ATMP), 3) cink glukonat. Ispitivan je širok spektar koncentracija, a rezultati koji su dobiveni elektrokemijskim mjerenjima pokazali su kako djelotvornosti ovih inhibitora mogu dostići vrijednosti i do 84 %.

Abstract

The aim of this work was to investigate corrosion and protection of carbon steel in 3,5 % solution NaCl with environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors (green or ecological inhibitors). Carbon steel was selected to be investigated because it is one of the most common used construction materials, while 3,5 % solution NaCl was selected as media because it is one of the most agressive environments and causes rapid and intense corrosion of steel. Measurements were performed by the means of electrochemical methods. Possibility of steel protection was examined by use of three different corrosion inhibitors:  cerium chloride heptahydrate,  amino-trimethylene phosphonic acid (ATMP),  zinc gluconate. Wide spectrum of inhibitor concentrations was studied. All experimental methods used confirmed high inhibiting efficiency of these inhibitors which may reach up to 84 %.
