Abstract (Croatian)

U vrijeme kada cijena energenata stalno raste zajedno sa svijesti o negativnom utjecaju fosilnih goriva na okoliš racionalna proizvodnja i potrošnja energije postaju goruća pitanja. Zbog toga se intenzivno radi na razvoju i implementaciji novih, učinkovitijih tehnologija proizvodnje energije. Ovaj rad pobliže opisuje tehnologiju gorivih članaka, posebno onih sa krutim oksidom kao elektrolitom (eng. SOFC - Solid Oxide Fuel Cell). Ukratko su opisane i druge vrste gorivih članaka te njihovo potencijalno područje primjene. Razvijen je i opisan matematički model za SOFC članak koji uzima u obzir i reformiranje metana u anodnom kanalu. Kao gorivo se koristi mješavina CH4, H2, CO2, CO i H2O. Kod u Matlabu napravljen je za stacionarno stanje, te su prikazani profili molarnih udjela, temperatura te lokalne gustoće jakosti struje za neka stacionarna stanja.

Abstract

In a time when fuel prices are constantly rising along with the awareness of negative environmental impact of fossil fuels, rational production and consumption of energy become burning questions. For that reason a lot of work is done on development and implementation of new, more efficient energy production technologies. In this paper fuel cell technology is described in more detail, especially solid oxide type, which uses solid oxide as an electrolyte. Other types are also briefly described along with their potential uses. A SOFC mathematical model which takes into account methane reforming in anode channel is developed and described. Mixture of CH4, H2, CO2, CO i H2O is used as a fuel source. Matlab code is developed for steady state, and molar concentration, temperature and local current density distributions are depicted for some steady states.
