Abstract (Croatian)

U ovom radu bit će opisane vrste, način dobivanja i mogućnosti oporabe polietilena. Opisat će se postupak ekstrudiranja crijevnog filma preradom polietilenskih otpadnih materijala. Pokazat će se ciklus recikliranja polietilena niske gustoće, od razvrstavanja vrećica, filmova i folija, pranja, sušenja, taljenja, granuliranja te kao finalnu fazu ekstrudiranje crijevnog filma i namotavanje folija i filmova u kolute. Objasnit će se koji parametri i na koji način utječu na ekstrudiranje crijevnog filma. Potkrijepit će se način funkcioniranja linije za obradu i proizvodnju tvrtke Brković d.o.o iz Svete \Nedelje koja razvrstavanjem te mehaničkim recikliranjem polietilena niske gustoće i ostalog plastičnog otpada pretvara navedeno u regenerate, ambalažu i folije za graditeljstvo, poljoprivredu, industriju i domaćinstvo. Obradit će se problemi onečišćenja polietilenskih vrećica, filmova i folija koji mogu uzrokovati probleme pri recikliranju i kao posljedicu, proizvod niže kvalitete. Dotaknut će se zakonska regulativa plastičnih vrećica u Europskoj uniji i svijetu. 1. srpnja 2013. Hrvatska je postala članica EU i samim time je postala obvezna regulirati zakon o plastičnim vrećicama, zabraniti ih ili staviti naknadu poreza istih. Predložit će se sustav gospodarenja plastičnim vrećicama s dvije mogućnosti oporabe, materijalnom i energijskom, bez potrebe za uvođenjem poreza ili zabrane.

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to describe the types, ways of producing and potential uses of polyethylene. It includes the description of blown film extrusion by processing polyethylene waste. It will explain the whole recycling cycle for the low density polyethylene: from sorting the bags, films and foil to washing, drying, melting, granulating and as a final phase, the blown film extrusion and foil and film spooling. It explains which parameters affect the blown film extrusion and in what way. It provides an example of processing and production line used by the firm Brkovic d.o.o. from Sveta Nedjelja. By sorting the waste and mechanical recycling of the low density polyethylene and other plastic waste, it produces new material, packaging and foil for construction industry, agriculture, production and households. The thesis also looks into the problems of debris in polyethylene bags, films and foil which may cause challenges in recycling and as a result, the lower quality product. It will look into the regulation and laws of European Union and world-wide, in relation to recycling and handling polyethylene bags and waste. From 1 July 2013 Croatia is a full member of European Union and as such, has the responsibility to obey its rules by regulating the law on polyethylene bags, to forbid the production and sale or to tax and put a charge on it. The thesis suggests the ways of handling the polyethylene bags with two possible recoveries: material or energy driven, without the need for taxation or production ban.
