Abstract (Croatian)

S obzirom na današnje ekološke norme i visoku cijenu goriva, motorima s unutarnjim izgaranjem postavljaju se sve veći zahtjevi u pogledu smanjenja potrošnje goriva i emisije štetnih produkata izgaranja. Tema ovog rada je proučiti utjecaj sustava za isključivanje cilindara u Ottovom V-8 motoru sa slobodnim usisom na smanjenje potrošnje goriva. Potrebno je pronaći najmanji broj radnih cilindara kod kojeg se još uvijek postiže smanjenje potrošnje goriva. U radu je prikazan model trenja koji je prilagođen za opisivanje trenja u motoru sa sustavom za isključivanje cilindara. Model trenja je programiran u programskom paketu Matlab 2010. Zatim je napravljen simulacijski model V-8 motora u programskom paketu AVL-Boost 2010. Prvi dio simulacije se odnosi na motor pri 100% opterećenja bez isključivanja cilindara. Drugi dio simulacije obuhvaća model s isključivanjem cilindara pri vožnji vozila konstantnom brzinom od 50, 90, 130 i 180 km/h. Prikazani su ključni rezultati za svaku brzinu vožnje u kojima se jasno vidi potencijal sustava za isključivanje cilindara kao mjera smanjenja potrošnje goriva i povećanja iskoristivosti motora.

Abstract

Given today's environmental standards and the high price of fuel, internal combustion engines are placed in increasing demands in terms of reducing fuel consumption and emissions of harmful products of combustion. The theme of this work is to study the impact of the cylinder deactivation system in naturally aspirated Otto V-8 engine on reduction of fuel consumption. It is necessary to find the minimum number of working cylinders for which is still achieved a reduction in fuel consumption. In this paper is presented a friction model that is suited to describe the friction in the engine with cylinder deactivation system. Friction model is programmed in Matlab software package 2010. Then is made a simulation model of V-8 engine in the software package AVL Boost 2010. The first part refers to the simulation model of engine at 100 % load without deactivating cylinders. The second part includes a simulation model is with cylinder deactivation, at a vehicle constant speed of 50, 90, 130 and 180 km/h. The key results are shown for each driving speed in which we can see the potential of the cylinder deactivation system as the measure to reduce fuel consumption and increase the efficiency of the engine.
