Lokalna električka mreža naftnog bušaćeg postrojenja karakterizirana je izrazito varijabilnim profilom opterećenja koji može nastati uslijed sporadičnog ukapčanja i iskapčanja potrošača velike snage, koji ne moraju uvijek raditi u optimalnoj radnoj točki karakteriziranoj povoljnim iznosom faktora snage. Stoga je potrebno je osigurati dodatno napajanje mreže jalovom snagom, na primjer iz baterijsko-ultrakondenzatorskog sustava za pohranu energije, koje je potrebno dimenzionirati za potrebe pokrivanja kratkotrajnih vršnih opterećenja (tipično do 800 kVA i trajanja do 15 minuta). Na taj način se može se smanjiti ukupna potrošnja energije, odnosno racionalizirati rad dieselskih agregata lokalnog postrojenja za proizvodnju električke energije, poglavito kroz smanjenje potrošnje dieselskog goriva. Kako bi se navedeni sustavi za pohranu električne energije mogli uspješno integrirati u lokalnu mrežu bušaćeg postrojenja potrebno ih je opremiti pretvaračima snage putem kojih se vrši upravljanje tokovima snage, a što uključuje i regulatore stanja napunjenosti baterije i ultrakondenzatora. Učinkovitost predloženih sustava za regulaciju stanja napunjenosti provjerena je simulacijama na računalu. Također je izvršena procjena potencijala uštede dieselskog goriva cjelokupnog sustava upravljanja tokovima energije.

Abstract

Local electrical grid of an oil drilling rig is characterized by notably variable load profiles that can occur due to sporadic turning on/off of high-power loads, which may not operate in the optimal operating point characterized by favorable power factor values. Therefore, it is necessary to secure an additional source of grid power supply (e.g. based on battery/ultracapacitor-based energy storage system), which needs to be sized (designed) for the covering of short-duration peak power loads (typically up to 800 kVA and for durations of up to 15 minutes). In this way the overall power consumption can be reduced and the operation of diesel generators-based power production facility can be rationalized, primarily through the reduction of diesel fuel consumption. In order to successfully integrate the aforementioned energy storage systems into the local power grid, it is necessary to equip them with power converters for the purpose of power flow control, including controllers for battery and ultracapacitor state-of-charge control. The effectiveness of proposed state-of-charge control systems is verified by means of computer simulations. The potential for diesel fuel consumption reduction has also been estimated for the case of hypothetical energy management system.
