Abstract (Croatian)

U radu su opisane teorijske osnove lijevanja odljevaka uz naglasak na napajanje. Opisane su volumne promjene tijekom hlađenja i skrućivanja odljevaka. Pobliže je razmotreno sedam pravila napajanja i pet glavnih mehanizama napajanja. Izrađen je odljevak na kojem je primijenjeno Pravilo napajanja broj 3: Zahtjev čvorišta. Izrađen je CAD model sa sustavom ulijevanja i četiri varijanti napajanja. Napravljena je simulacija lijevanja i skrućivanja u programu QuikCast. Potvrđen je učinak toplog čvorišta na odljevak za T-spojeve za različitu debljinu pojila. Ako ne postoji mogućnost stavljanja pojila u nastavku odljevka, potrebno je na odljevak staviti veliko pojilo s dvostrukim modulom u odnosu na modul odljevka, što otežava odstranjivanje pojila nakon skrućivanja. Navedeno vrijedi za aluminijske legure.

Abstract

In this paper the theoretical basis of casting with an emphasis on feeding of castings are described. The volume changes during cooling and solidification of castings are described too. More specifically, seven feeding rules and five main feeding mechanisms are discussed. Castings were made by applying Rule 3: The Junction Requirement. CAD model with the system of pouring and four variants of feeding as well as the simulation of casting and solidification in QuikCast were done. The effect of the hot spot for T-junctions on castings for different thicknesses of the feeder was confirmed. If there is no possibility of putting the feeder next to the casting it is necessary to put the feeder on the casting, causing problems of removing the feeder after solidification. For aluminium alloys the feeder must be double the size of the casting.
