Abstract

The ship design evaluation from the vibration excitation aspect is presented. This evaluation should be carried out in the early stage of the ship design. It includes the assessment of non-uniform full scale effective wake in the propeller plane, of hull surface pressure and integrated vertical force and of propeller shaft excitation forces and moments. Appropriate evaluation criteria are applied. © 2010 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
