Abstract

Theoretical background and operational aspects are given for the proposed extension of the IACS incremental-iterative method. Method is used for the assessment of the hull girder ultimate bending moment as one of the design attributes within optimization based decision making process and is implemented in OCTOPUS design environment. Examples of application are given and the general conclusion based on the results obtained is presented.
