Abstract (Croatian)

U radu su opisane teorijske osnove lijevanja odljevaka uz naglasak na važnost pravilnog izbora pojila i vrata pojila te njihovog ispravnog pozicioniranja. Opisane su volumne promjene tijekom hlađenja i skrućivanja odljevaka. Obrađeno je sedam pravila napajanja i pet glavnih mehanizama napajanja. Izrađen je CAD model sa tri varijante sustava napajanja. Napravljena je simulacija lijevanja i skrućivanja u programu QuikCAST. Izrađen je odljevak sa tri različite dimenzije vrata pojila. Potvrđeno je da u slučaju korištenja premalog vrata pojila u odljevku nastaje poroznost. Također je potvrđeno da se rezultati simulacije poklapaju s rezultatima dobivenim kod lijevanja odljevaka.

Abstract

In this paper the theoretical basis of casting with an emphasis on the importance of correct choice of riser and risers neck and their correct positioning are described. The volume changes during cooling and solidification of casting are also described. Seven feeding rules and five main feeding mechanisms are discussed. A CAD model with three versions of feeding system was made. Also, the simulation of casting and solidification in QuikCAST was done. Finally, casting with three different dimensions of risers neck was casted. It was confirmed that the usage of too small riser neck results in shrinkage porosity. It was also confirmed that the simulation results coincide well with the results obtained with casting.
