Abstract (Croatian)

Među trenutno najznačajnijim pristupima analizi graničnog savojnog opterećenja ukrepljenih tankostjenih konstrukcija najviše se ističu: geometrijski i materijalno nelinearna metoda konačnih elemenata, koja je u tu svrhu potencijalno najtočnija ; te različite verzije Smithove metode, koje propisuje većina klasifikacijskih društava te su vjerojatno najrasprostranjenije među svim trenutno upotrebljavanim metodama. Rezultati obaju metoda uspoređeni su s dobro dokumentiranim eksperimentima čistog savijanja ukrepljenih kutijastih nosača. Pri tome je evaluacija i diskusija utjecaja različitih metodoloških aspekata relevantnih za razmatrani problem provedena uzimajući u obzir i globalnu i lokalnu razinu odziva razmatranih konstrukcija.

Abstract

Two of the most distinctive contemporary approaches in ultimate bending load capacity analysis of the stiffened thin-walled structures are: geometrically an materially nonlinear finite element method, which is potentially the most accurate one; and various versions of the Smith’s method, prescribed by the most classification societies and probably the most widely spread among all of the currently used methods. The results of both methods are benchmarked against well documented experiments of extreme pure and bending of stiffened box girders. Influence of the various methodological aspects of relevance for the considered problem is evaluated and discussed considering both global and local response level.
