Abstract

The book chapter presents comparative analysis between genetic algorithm and swarm-based optimization algorithm on the benchmark Diophantine equation problem. Furthermore, both algorithms are applied to solve the problem of navigation of the simulated mobile robot in an environment cluttered by obstacles.
