Abstract (Croatian)

Cilj ovog rada je istraživanje utjecaja glavnih izmjera i oblika pramčanog dijela broda na ukupni otpor. Tijekom plovidbe brod izaziva poremećaje u svojem okolišu, vodi i zraku. Prilikom osnivanja novog broda potrebno je postići projektnu brzinu broda s najmanjom snagom porivnog stroja tj. projektirati brod s ciljem što manje potrošnje energije za savladavanje sile otpora. Izmjenom glavnih izmjera broda moguće je odabrati optimalnu brodsku formu sa stajališta ukupnog otpora. To se može postići odgovarajućim proračunima i eksperimentalnim ispitivanjima brodske forme. Budući da su eksperimentalna ispitivanja vrlo skupa potrebno je provesti što kvalitetniju analizu forme u fazi predprojekta. U radu je prikazan utjecaj glavnih izmjera broda na ukupni otpor. Da bi se istraživanje moglo provesti generiran je model broda u prikladnom programskom paketu, te su rezultati ukupnog otpora dobiveni simulacijom uspoređeni s rezultatima modelskih ispitivanja. Potom je postojeća forma generiranog modela optimizirana promjenom oblika pramčanog dijela broda te je ispitan utjecaj na ukupni otpor. Proračun ukupnog otpora temelji se na metodi Holtrop. Uz silu otpora broda važno je poznavati i odziv broda na valovima odnosno njegove pomorstvene karakteristike. Obzirom da odziv broda na valovima može uzrokovati značajniji pad brzine, potrebno je procijeniti pomorstvene karakteristike broda u fazi projektiranja broda. U radu je dan odziv optimalne forme modela broda na valovima u prikladnom programskom paketu te uspoređen s odzivom postojeće generirane forme.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is the investigation of the influence of main ship particulars and fore part of the ship on the total resistance. During the sail ship causes disturbances in water and air. In design process of a new vessel it is necessary to obtain the design speed of the ship while achieving low energy consumption to overcome the total resistance force. By changing the main ship particulars it is possible to select the optimal ship form from the standpoint of the total resistance. This can be achieved by using adequate calculations and experimental trials of different ship forms. Since the experimental trials are very expensive it is necessary to carry out the best possible analysis of the ship forms during the design stage. The paper deals with the influence of the main ship particulars on the total resistance. In order to perform investigation it was necessary to generate a ship model in a suitable software package. The results of the total resistance are obtained by simulation and are compared with the results of experimental trials. Furthermore the current form of the generated model is optimized by changing the shape of the fore part of the ship and the results of the influence of the fore part on the total resistance are presented. Calculation of the total resistance is based on the Holtrop method. Beside the total resistance force it is also important to know the ship response to waves, i.e. seakeeping characteristics. Since the ship response to waves can cause a significant reduction in speed it is necessarily to assess the seakeeping characteristics of a ship during the design stage. Response of the optimal ship form to waves is made in appropriate software package and results are compared with the response of the existing generated ship form.
