Abstract (Croatian)

Projektiranje i gradnja brodova za rasuti teret danas se provodi prema Usuglašenim zajedničkim pravilima IACS CSR(BC) [1]. Za određivanje strukturnih dimenzija, osim preskriptivnih pravila, potrebno je provest i strukturnu analizu teretnog prostora (tri skladišta ) metodom konačnih elemenata (MKE). Racionalno dimenzioniranje strukturnih dimenzija trupa broda korištenjem MKE i optimizacijskih metoda karakteristika je suvremenog načina projektiranja brodskih konstrukcija. Cilj ovog rada je upravo demonstracija takvog pristupa projektiranju brodske konstrukcije na primjeru broda za rasuti teret od oko 40 000 DWT-a. Proračun je proveden kroz dvije faze. Kroz fazu 1 evaluirane su strukturne dimenzije prototipa P800, te je generirano nekoliko varijanti konstrukcije promjenom razmaka rebara i broja uzdužnih nosača u dvodnu. Reprojektiranjem strukturnih dimenzija predloženih varijanti i njihovom evaluacijom odabrana je najbolja varijanta po kriteriju minimalne mase. U drugoj fazi je proveden je, za odabranu varijantu, direktni proračun korištenjem metode konačnih elemenata, te strukturna optimizacija.

Abstract

Today the design and construction of bulk carriers is carried out according to the Common Structural Rules for Bulk Carriers. To determine the structural dimension, in addition to prescriptive rules, it is necessary to conduct the structural analysis of cargo hold area (three cargo holds) using finite element method (FEM). Rational design of the structural dimensions of the hull using FEM and optimization methods is characteristic of the modern way of designing ship structures. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate this approach to the design of ship structures in the case of bulk carrier of about 40,000 DWT. This analysis is conducted in two phases. Through Phase 1 the structural dimensions of the prototype P800 are evaluated, and several variants of ship structures are generated by varying the spacing of the frames and the number of longitudinal girders in the double bottom. By changing the structural dimension of the proposed variants and their evaluation the best variant is selected by the criterion of minimum weight. In the second phase, for the selected variant, a Direct Strength Analysis using the finite element method, along with structural optimization, is carried out.
