Abstract

Today, when companies are facing with uncertain market conditions and customers with high level demand on quality and specific product demands, innovation and continuous improvement has to be integral part of company’s business and production activity. There are many production improvement methods used during the last decades, such as Business Process Reengineering, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma. Value stream mapping is Lean tool which gives integral approach to processes, by analyzing them from the order to the product or service delivery to the customer. Such approach has proved as better and comprehensive as it observes whole processes, as a continuous flow, not as separated operations and activities. In this paper it will be described application of Value stream mapping in a production company.
