Abstract (Croatian)

Diplomski rad se bavi usporedbom različitih strukturnih koncepata velikih putničkih brodova za kružna putovanja tokom konceptualne faze projektiranja konstrukcije. Uvodom je dan kratki opis problematike tih brodova te razlog razvijanja novih koncepta. Za geometriju i topologiju glavnog rebra odabranog koncepta koji će se usporediti s dostupnom konvencionalnom konstrukcijom proveo se proračun prema pravilima DNV ( Det Norske Veritas ), te se s dobivenim vrijednostima dimenzija strukturnih elemenata izradio MKE model korištenjem programa MAESTRO. Nakon određivanja opterećenja provela se analiza učinkovitosti nadgrađa predložene konstrukcije u ovisnosti o omjeru veličine otvora i debljine oplate. U modelu su se, radi lakšeg i bržeg modeliranja, otvori zamijenili membranom ekvivalentne debljine. Svrha analize je odabir realne kombinacije omjera veličine otvora i debljine oplate. Idući korak je ocjena podobnosti predložene konstrukcije te reprojektiranje u svrhu zadovoljenja podobnosti. Provedena je analiza odziva reprojektirane konstrukcije da bi dobili vrijednosti s kojima uspoređujemo dva koncepta. Usporedba koncepata provela se analizom odziva modela dviju konstrukcija na razini primarnih naprezanja i deformacija. Za analizu nosivosti stijenke otvora, kod predloženog novog koncepta, izrađen je lokalni fini MKE model prozora kako bi se dobio uvid u detaljnu distribuciju naprezanja oko otvora. Prilogom su dani nacrti glavnih rebra nakon reprojektiranja i proračun lokalnih strukturnih elemenata prema pravilima DNV, izrađen u programskom paketu MS Excell.

Abstract

Diploma thesis deals with comparing different structural concepts of large passenger cruise ships during the conceptual design phase of construction. Introduction gives a brief description of the problems of these vessels and cause of the development of new concepts. The geometry and topology of the main frames of the selected concept will be compared with available conventional design, calculated according to the rules of DNV (Det Norske Veritas), and with the resulting values of the dimensions of the structural elements FEM model was created using the program MAESTRO. After determining the structural loads, the analysis of the effectiveness of the proposed construction's superstructure depending on the ratio of openings size and the thickness of plating was carried out. For easier and faster modeling, openings have been replaced with membrane with equivalent thickness in the model. The purpose of the analysis is to select the most realistic combination of openings size and the ratio of the thickness of plating. The next step is the assessment of the fitness of the proposed construction and revision involving changes in order to meet the eligibility. Response analysis was carried out for the redesigned construction to get the values with which we compare two concepts. Comparison of concepts was conducted by analyzing the responses of two modeled structures considering primary stress and deformations. For the capacity analysis of the openings in the side wall, within the proposed new concept, a local fine FEM model of the openings was created in order to obtain a detailed insight into the stresses distribution around the openings. Annexes are containing drafts of the main frames after the redesign process and the calculation of local structural elements according to the DNV rules, created in MS Excel software package.
