Abstract (Croatian)
Završni rad opisuje virtualnu stvarnost i njezine primjene. Uz opći i povijesni pregled, u radu su detaljno opisani haptički uređaji i zasloni montirani na glavu pomoću kojih se odvija interakcija u virtualnom okruženju, kao i primjena virtualne stvarnosti u procesima montaže i demontaže, uz pregled najrelevantnijih softverskih paketa u tom području. Rad sadrži i konkretne primjere sklapanja dijelova korištenjem tehnika virtualne stvarnosti, uz opisanu problematiku i iznesene zaključke. Također, iznesena je ideja osnivanja laboratorija za virtualnu stvarnost, uz specifikaciju opreme i procijenjene troškove. Pojedini dijelovi ovog rada opisuju primjenu virtualnih simulatora u poljima medicine i stomatologije. Na kraju rada, dan je prikaz budućih trendova gdje se opisuju najmoderniji stereoskopski uređaji koji će tek izaći na tržište ali i najnovija područja istraživanja koja bi mogla značajno promijeniti život čovjeka.
Abstract
This work describes a virtual reality and its applications. In addition to general and historical overview, the work describes haptic devices and head mounted displays by means of which the interaction takes place in a virtual environment, as well as the application of virtual reality in the processes of assembly and disassembly, with an overview of the most relevant software packages in that area. The paper contains concrete examples of part assembly using techniques of virtual reality, with the described issues and the conclusions. Also, the idea of establishment of virtual reality laboratory is presented, with equipment specification and estimated costs. Some fragments of the work depict the virtual simulators in fields of medicine and dentistry. At the very end of the work, future trends are shown with emphasis on modern stereoscopic devices and latest research areas that could significantly change human life.
