Tema ovog rada je ispitivanje tehnoloških mogućnosti sniženja sadržaja organskih tvari u vodama nekih sjeverno hrvatskih izvorišta. Radom je uk1jučena analiza uobičajenih tehnoloških postupaka s obzirom na učin otklanjanja organskih tvari ali i laboratorijsko ispitivanje primjenjivosti tzv. naprednih oksidacijskih procesa (Advanced Oxidation Processes — AOP) na vode realnih izvorišta u sustavima vodoopskrbe. Uzeta su dva različita sustava: podzemna voda koja je karakterističan izvor vodoopskrbnih sustava panonske Hrvatske i površinska, u ovom slučaju jezerska voda, sto također predstavlja izvor za vise vodoopskrbnih sustava sjeverne Hrvatske. Kao organske tvari, razmatrane su isk1ju6ivo prirodne organske tvari, odnosno huminske tvari čija je prisutnost karakteristika promatranih sustava. Navedena laboratorijska ispitivanja su bila bazirana na mjerenju kinetike fotodegradacije organske tvari uz variranje određenih fizikalno kemijskih uvjeta procesa. U radu je dan i pregled utjecaja prirodnih organskih tvari na zdravstvenu ispravnost pitke vode, a isto tako razjašnjena je interakcija ovih tvari s određenim tehnološkim postupcima. Načinjena istraživanja su pokazala vrlo veliku primjenjivost naprednih oksidacijskih postupaka, odnosno primjenom UV zračenja uz možebitne fotokatalitičke dodatke zbiva se uspješna degradacija organske tvari. \Naročito značajan rezultat je bitno ubrzanje procesa primjenom željeza u različitim formama, sto je osobito važno kod tretmana bunarskih voda bogatih upravo željezom.
Abstract
The topic of this work is investigation of technological possibilities to reduce organic matter content in raw waters of certain water supply systems of northern Croatia. This work includes the analysis of usual technological procedures in the context of efficiency of organic matter removal. Also, laboratory investigation of applicability of Advanced Oxidation Processes in the cases of observed waters has been conducted. Samples from two different water origins are chosen: ground water that is the usual source for water treatment plants in the Panonian Croatia, and surface, in this case lake water. Concerning organic matter, only natural organic matter (NOM) or more precisely humic substances are observed, whose presence is characteristic of these waters. The laboratory research was based on the study of kinetics of photodegradation of organic matter with some physical/chemical conditions varied. The review of NOM influence on water quality concerning public health aspects, and explanation of well known interactions with certain technological procedures are given too. Results of the research point on high applicability of Advanced Oxidation Processes, or in other words, UV radiation in some cases supported by photocatalytic additives forces the effective degradation of organic matter. One of the most important result of the conducted research is the fact that the degradation process is enhanced with iron in various forms. That fact could be very useful, especially in case of treating the ground waters rich in iron.
