Abstract

In the context of today’s highly anticipated problems of global warming due to emission of CO2, route optimisation of transport vehicles have given even higher importance. The urban waste collection is characterized as process that requires usually larger fleet of trucks with significant fuel usage, therefore cost and pollution. In this paper optimization of waste collection in one Croatian city is considered. Some approaches of modelling real case and initial results were presented.
