Abstract

This paper presents an algorithm for finding a near optimal solution for placement of computational processes on a multiple processor system. Further it investigates the effect of communication time between processors of a distributed system. As an example robot’s control formulation is decomposed. Results show good speedups and processor use efficiency with moderate number of scheduling algorithm iterations. This procedure may be also applicable to other production management problems.
