Abstract

This work features an example of the application of the multiscale method on the problem of failure and damage analysis of unidirectional composite materials. The simultaneous analysis has been achieved by using the Abaqus/Explicit solver for the macro-scale problem, while the High Fidelity Generalized Method of Cells (HFGMC) is used to evaluate the stress and strain state on the micromechanical level.
