Abstract (Croatian)

U radu su s tom svrhom analizirane brojne postojeće metode komisioniranja, podijeljene u tri grupe: metode routinga, metode dodjeljivanja mjesta odlaganja i metode spajanja narudžbi.

Abstract

Order-picking, process of retrieving items from storage locations in response to a specific customer request, is the most important process in the warehouses regarding costs and times. This is especially a case in the conventional warehouses, with almost 90% of total time spent on order-picking activities and 55% of all operating cost attributed to orderpicking. As the 50% of total order picking time is spent on traveling, beside order-picking system redesign there is also a solution with organizational changes and application of various order-picking methods to reduce travel distances. In this thesis many existing order-picking methods are analyzed, grouped as routing methods, storage methods and orderbatching methods. With the goal of total minimization of order-picking travel distances, the best combinations of those methods are investigated and defined. Along with the potentials of reducing order-picking travel distances, the relative effects using some particular or a combination of methods are determined. According to the influence of the warehouse layout on the described problem, in this thesis there is also a suggested model and design guidelines of optimal layout to minimize orderpicking travel distances presented.
