Abstract (Croatian)

Cilj ovog završnog rada je provesti analizu čvrstoće krila lakog civilnog aviona s obzirom na inercijske sile pri manevriranju i zapuhu vjetra primjenom metode konačnih elemenata (engl. Finite Element Method).

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to conduct a Finite Element Method analysis of a general aviation aircraft wing subjected to inertial and gust loads. A V-n diagram is constructed in accordance to EASA regulations. XFLR5 software is used to determine the aerodynamic load distribution. The FEM analysis is done using Abaqus, wherein the aerodynamic load is modeled as a two-dimensional pressure field acting upon the wing lower surface. After assessing the results of the analysis, the wing structure is locally strengthened to achieve the desired load-bearing capacity. Subsequently, the FEM analysis is repeated. In the end, a brief conclusion is given.
