Abstract (Croatian)

Tvrdoća je vrlo važno svojstvo materijala kako u eksploataciji tako i tijekom strojne obrade. Vickersova i Knoopova metoda mjerenja tvrdoće široko su zastupljene u industriji. U radu je izvedena konstrukcija uređaja za mjerenje tvrdoće Vickers i Knoop metodom, zajedno sa upravljačkim sustavom i mogućnošću mjerenja mikrotvrdoća silama od 0.1N na više. Uređaj se lako može implementirati na alatni stroj ili koristiti kao samostalni. S obzirom da je temeljen na platformi otvorenog koda lako se može modificirati prema zahtjevima korisnika.

Abstract

Hardness is very important material property both in exploitation and machining. Vickers and Knoop hardness testing methods are in particular broadly used in industry. In this thesis design of Vickers and Knoop automated indentation hardness testing device is presented. The control system is realized using open loop stepper motor based feed drive and closed loop PID for precise indentation force control. Due to its Open Source foundation, it can be easily modified to user’s needs. It is suitable for micro hardness indentation using trust force in range between 0.1N and 20N. This device can be used as standalone unit or installed as custom module on CNC machine tool. Different indenters can also be easily exchanged.
