Abstract (Croatian)

U radu je numerička metoda karakteristika primijenjena na proračun nestacionarnog strujanja fluida u cjevovodu nakon ispada pumpe iz rada. Dinamičko ponašanje pumpe, gdje se uzima u obzir inerciju rotirajućih dijelova pumpe i motora pumpe, uključeno je u metodu karakteristika kroz rubni uvjet pumpe. Numerička simulacija matematičkog modela napravljena je pomoću programskog paketa Octave. Kako bi se utvrdio utjecaj inercije rotirajućih dijelova pumpe i motora pumpe, rezultati numeričke simulacije u kojoj se uzima u obzir inercija su uspoređeni s rezultatima simulacije uz zanemarenje inercije. Usporedba je pokazala da uzimanje u obzir inercije rotirajućih dijelova pumpe i motora znatno mijenja rezultate simulacije nestacionarne pojave u sustavu na način da se smanjuje promjena tlaka u cjevovodu i produžuje vrijeme potrebno za smanjivanje protoka na nulu.

Abstract

This paper shows the use of method of characteristics for calculating unsteady fluid flow in pipes after pump trip. The dynamic behavior of the pump, which takes into account the inertia of pump’s rotary parts and motor, is included in the method of characteristics as a boundary condition. The numerical simulation was carried out using Octave program package. To determine the influence of inertia of pump’s rotary parts and motor, a comparison of simulation results with and without inertia has been made. This comparison showed that, when pump inertia is taken into account, simulation results for unsteady phenomena change considerably in such a way that the pressure alteration in the pipeline reduces and the time for flow to reach zero extends.
