Abstract (Croatian)

U ovom radu analizirana je elektrifikacija autobusa koji bi se koristio u javnom gradskom prijevozu u Zagrebu. Na početku je dan pregled primjera električnih gradskih autobusa u Europi te pregled ispitnih voznih ciklusa pogodnih za gradske autobuse. Zatim su određene karakteristike elektromotora i dvostupanjskog mjenjača na temelju zahtijevanih performansi autobusa. Karakteristike baterije određene su prema proračunatim energetskim potrebama za ispitni vozni ciklus okruga Orange. Na kraju je napravljen proračun performansi autobusa s novim električnim pogonom. Također, napravljena je i analiza uštede na troškovima eksploatacije električnog autobusa u odnosu na konvencionalni autobus s Dieselovim motorom. Svi proračuni su napravljeni u programu Microsoft Office Excel.

Abstract

This thesis analyzes elecrification of a bus to be used in public transport in Zagreb. To begin with, an overview of examples of city buses in Europe and review of driving cycles suitable for buses used in public transport are given. Subsequently, characteristics of electric motor and 2-speed transmission are determined based on the required performance of a bus. Characteristics of the battery are determined according to the calculated energy requirements for Orange County Bus Cycle. Finally, performance of a bus with new electric drive is calculated. Also, an analysis of savings on operating costs of electric bus in relation to the conventional bus with a Diesel engine is made. All calculations were made using Microsoft Office Excel.
