Abstract

Although the region of South East and Central Europe still much relies on fossil fuels, coal predominately, there are already visible changes. The high cost resulting from combination of old age, rising transmission costs and higher carbon taxes initate energy transition. The missing energy will be covered by gas plants, as well as renewable energy sources.
