Abstract (Croatian)

Ograničen i dobro poznat akvatorij plovidbe (a ponekad i sama ruta plovidbe) brodova za obalnu plovidbu daje mogućnost optimiranja njihovog brodskog energetskog sustava (BES) kako bi se njihov štetni utjecaj na okoliš u životnom vijeku broda sveo na minimum. Ti se brodovi razlikuju od prekooceanskih po tome što plove na kraćim rutama uz češći i dulji boravak u lukama. To podrazumijeva češće manevriranje kao i dulji rad motora pri minimalnom opterećenju, u uvjetima koji su za dizelski motor daleko od optimalnih. Stoga se kod tih brodova u cilju povećanja energetske učinkovitosti i ekološke prihvatljivosti BES-a kao prihvatljiva alternativa ističu integrirani energetski sustavi (IES). Posebnu ulogu imaju i primjena alternativnih goriva kao i inovativne energetski učinkovite tehnologije. U ovome je radu prikazana analiza značajki BES-a suvremenih ro-ro putničkih brodova, tj. brodova isporučenih unazad 15 godina. Analiza je obuhvatila sve posebnosti i specifičnosti tog tipa brodova. To je preduvjet za provođenje analiza energetske učinkovitosti i utjecaja na okoliš u okviru postojeće regulative, ali i u okviru očekivanih izmjena pravila za energetsku učinkovitost brodova.

Abstract

Ships intended to sail in short-sea shipping are usually designed for some specific routes. Their routes are generally shorter and they spend a lot of time in ports. Because of that, such ships need to have very good maneuvering abilities. Their engines operate more often at minimal and maximum load, which is far from optimum. This allows optimizing their power system with the aim to minimize the environmental impact. As a viable alternative many ships have integrated power systems. These systems have higher energy efficiency and lower environmental impact. In this paper an analysis of ro-ro passenger ships power systems is performed. The analysis includes ships delivered in the last 15 years and indicates particularities and specificities of this ship type. This analysis is a prerequisite for conducting other analysis concerning ship energy efficiency and environmental impact within the current and future regulation.
