Abstract (Croatian)

Predmet ovog diplomskog rada je utjecaj parametara uljevnog sustava na punjenje kalupa. U radu je opisana tehnologija lijevanja aluminijskih legura u kalupe za jednokratnu uporabu. U teorijskom dijelu rada su opisane osnovne komponente te vrste uljevnih sustava. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada za zadani odljevak u obliku ploče napravljene su četiri varijante uljevnog sustava. Po dvije za uljevni sustav 1:2:2 i dvije za uljevni sustav 1:4:4. Prva varijanta za uljevni sustav 1:2:2 i 1:4:4 je dobivena proračunom za zadani odljevak, te su kod druge dvije varijante modela, povećane dimenzije kritičnog presjeka za 30% dok su ostale dimenzije uljevnog sustava ostale iste. Za sve četiri varijante su napravljene simulacije u programskom paketu QuikCAST. Nakon toga su napravljeni drveni modeli uljevnih sustava pomoću kojih su izrađeni jednokratni kalupi u koje je lijevana aluminijska legura AlSi10Mg. Na kraju je prikazana usporedba rezultata dobivenih simulacijom i rezultata dobivenih lijevanjem.

Abstract

The subject for this thesis is the effect of gating system design parameters on mold filling properties. The paper describes technology of aluminium alloy casting into expendable molds. The theoretical part describes the basic components of this type of gating system. In the experimental part, four versions of the gating system were made for the given plate shaped casting. Two versions for the 1:2:2 and two for the 1:4:4 gating system were analised. The first version of the 1:2:2 and 1:4:4 gating system was attained through mathematical calculations for the given casting, while the other two versions had all the exact same dimensions of the gating systems with the exception of the critical cross section being increased by 30%. Simulations were made for all four versions using the QuikCAST software. Wooden patterns of the gating system components were made and green sand molds were produced. The results obtained by the simulations and experiments were compared.
