Abstract

The application of computed tomography (CT) in dimensional metrology is a new field of research. The research conducted within the field of computed tomography in dimensional metrology indicates the need for the development of calibration and traceability assurance methods. This paper presents an overview of current research in the field of calibration and traceability assurance of CT measurement systems. The paper also presents guidelines for future development as well as a plan or research whose main goal is the assurance of result traceability up to the definition of the SI unit.
