Abstract (Croatian)

Tema ovog diplomskog rada je numerička analiza oštećenja višeslojnih kompozitnih zrakoplovnih konstrukcija. Numerička analiza je provedena u programu Abaqus/Standard korištenjem VCCT metode. U uvodnom i drugom poglavlju je dan pregled o vrstama delaminacija i načinima propagiranja delaminacije. U trećem poglavlju je opisan numerički model VCCT metode, kako bi se razumjela matematička pozadina analiza provedenih u ovom radu. Nakon toga su opisani matematički modeli kriterija popuštanja koji su korišteni za određivanje popuštanja u slojevima višeslojnih kompozitnih konstrukcija. Tri različita modela koji predstavljaju karakteristične kompozitne zrakoplovne konstrukcije, su analizirana primjenom VCCT metode i opisana su njihova geometrijska i mehanička svojstva. Rezultati za različite postavne kutove slojeva i kriteriji popuštanja svakog pojedinog modela su opisani u petom poglavlju. Nakon toga je opisan utjecaj postavnog kuta sloja na način popuštanja. Rezultati su dani dijagramom kriterija popuštanja kroz debljinu elementa kao i prikazima indeksa popuštanja na modelima.

Abstract

The subject of this master thesis is numerical analysis of damage in laminated aeronautical composite structures. The numerical analysis are performed in program Abaqus/Standard using the VCCT method. The thesis provides an introduction about delamination types and delamination growth modes. In third chapter, the numerical model of the VCCT method is described in order to provide the mathematical background of the analyses performed in this thesis to improve clarity of the text. In the following chapter, the mathematical models of the failure criteria are described which are used for the prediction of failure initiation in the plies of the laminated composite structures. Three different models, which represent typical aeronautical composite structures, are analyzed using the VCCT method. Additionally their geometrical and mechanical properties are also provided. Results of the numerical analyses for different ply orientations and failure criteria for all models are described in the fifth chapter. After that the influence of ply orientation on the failure mode is descibed. Results are provided in the form of diagrams which show, the through-thickness distribution of failure criteria and in the form of failure criteria distribution in the numerical models.
