Zadatak ovoga rada je dimenzionirati poprečni presjek glavne grede krana. Kran se koristi za manipuliranje betonskim poklopcem koji služi kao zaštita ostalih prostorija od zračenja koje proizvodi neutronski akcelerator. Analizu provodimo analitički, te metodom konačnih elemenata u programskom paketu Abaqus. U uvodnom poglavlju opisana je fuzija i planovi izgradnje fuzijskih elektrana, te projekt DONES i TIR (soba u kojoj se bombardiraju ispitni uzorci neutronskim snopom). U drugom poglavlju je kratko opisan kran, tj PFCT sustav. U trećem poglavlju je prikazan analitički i numerički proračun, uz opis metode konačnih elemenata, programskog paketa Abaqus, te korištenih elemenata.

Abstract

The task of this assignment is to size the cross-section of the crane’s main support beam. The crane maneuvers the concrete cover plate that protects the rest of the facilities from the radiation of the neutron accelerator. Analysis is done analytically, with the software suite Abaqus using the Finite Element Method. First chapter outlines fusion in general, and plans for the fusion power plant construction, as well as the DONES project and TIR (The room where the samples are bombarded with a neutron beam). Second chapter describes the crane, or more specifically, the PFCT system. Third chapter shows analytical and numerical calculations, followed by description of the Finite Element Method in Abaqus, and the finite elements used.
