Based on GA plan developed by VEGAYACHT and the initial structural design made by Navis Consult and CADCON Pula, structural analysis and optimization (by direct calculations) of a 100m long mega-yacht is presented. Structural design procedure follows Lloyd Register Rules (LR SDA guidelines for passenger ships). Application of in-house developed design support system (DeSS) during all design phases (concept, preliminary and detail) was based on following goals: reduction of structural weight, VCG position, vibrations levels and, in parallel, increase of overall structural safety.
