Abstract (Croatian)

U ovom radu je provedeno ispitivanje triboloških i korozijskih svojstava uzoraka od legure ASTM F 1537 s odgovarajućom hrapavosti površine te uzorka od legure ASTM F 1537 prevučene s TiN prevlakom primjenom postupka plazmatski potpomognutog kemijskog prevlačenja iz parne faze (PACVD). Provedena je karakterizacija prevlake ispitivanjem hrapavosti, debljine, adhezivnosti i nanotvrdoće. Ispitana je otpornost na adhezijsko trošenje primjenom metode Block on Ring. Otpornost na elektrokemijsku koroziju je ispitana metodama linearne i cikličke polarizacije te elektrokemijske impedancijske spektroskopije (EIS). Korodirane površine uzoraka snimljene su na svjetlosnom i skenirajućem elektronskom mikroskopu (SEM) te analizirane primjenom elektronske disperzijske spektroskopije (EDS). Iz provedenih ispitivanja utvrđeno je povećanje otpornosti na adhezijsko trošenje uzoraka prevučenih s PACVD TiN prevlakom u odnosu na neprevučene uzorke legure ASTM F 1537. Na korozijsku postojanost legure značajno utječe sposobnost pasivacije površine koja stvara učinkovitu prepreku za procese elektrokemijske korozije. TiN prevlaka korodira pojavom lokalne točkaste korozije u zadanim uvjetima ispitivanja.

Abstract

In this work, tribological and corrosion properties of the specimens made of the ASTM F 1537 alloy with appropriate surface roughness and specimen made of the ASTM F 1537 alloy coated with TiN made by the Plasma Assisted Chemical Vapour Deposition (PACVD) procedure have been investigated. The properties of the PACVD TiN coating were established by testing roughness, thickness, adhesiveness, and nanohardness. Resistance to adhesive wear was investigated by the Block on Ring method. The electrochemical resistance was examined by the methods of linear and cyclic polarization and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). After corrosion tests, the surface microstructure of the specimens was analyzed via light microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS). The tests showed an increase in adhesion resistance of the specimens coated with PACVD TiN in relation to non – coated ASTM F 1537 alloy. Corrosion resistance of the non – coated specimens is significantly influenced by the surface passivation ability which presents efficient barrier for the electrochemical corrosion processes. TiN coating is susceptible to pitting corrosion in the defined testing conditions.
