Abstract (Croatian)
Rad sastoji se od teorijskog i eksperimentalnog dijela. U teorijskom dijelu rada opisana je primjena prirodnih materijala koji se koriste pri izradi bicikla. Navedene su vrste bambusa koje se koriste u konstrukcijske svrhe i njihove karakteristike te je dan pregled dosadašnjih ispitivanja mehaničkih svojstava bambusa prema dostupnoj literaturi. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada provedena su ispitivanja žilavosti, izvijanja i tvrdoće, prije i nakon izlaganja uvjetima u vlažnoj komori, bambusa koji se primjenjuje kod izrade bicikla. Na skenirajućem elektronskom mikroskopu analizirana je mikrostruktura bambusa. Dobiveni rezultati komentirani su usporedbom mehaničkih svojstava uzoraka izlaganih u vlažnoj komori i onih koji nisu bili izlagani u vlažnoj komori. Na kraju su dobivena svojstva bambusa uspoređena sa svojstvima ostalih materijala koji se primjenjuju za izradu okvira bicikla.
Abstract
This thesis consists of a theoretical and experimental part. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the use of natural materials used in bicycle manufacturing, types of bamboo used for construction purposes and their characteristics as well as a review of previous documented tests of the bamboos mechanical properties. In the experimental part of the study, we tested the toughness, curvature, and hardness, before and after exposure to the manufacturing conditions in the humid chamber. A scanning electron microscope was used to analyze the microstructure of bamboo. The obtained results were commented by comparing the mechanical properties of samples exposed to the dark chamber and those that were not exposed to the humid chamber. Finally, the resulting properties of the bamboo were compared with the properties of other materials used for manufacturing the bicycle frame.
