Abstract (Croatian)

Vodenička kola jedan su od najstarijih hidrauličkih strojeva poznatih čovjeku. Voda strujanjem preko niza lopatica pričvršćenih na kolo okreče kolo i stvara mehanički rad koji se preko središnje osovine prenosi na druge uređaje. Postoji tri osnovna tipa vodeničkih kola ovisno o mjestu dovođenja same vode: kolo pogonjeno s donje strane, kolo pogonjeno s gornje strane i kolo pogonjeno vodom na sredini visine kola. Pomoću programskog paketa SOLIDWORKS izrađen je model samog kola. Da bi se dobile hidraulične karakteristike kola uz pomoć programskog paketa ANSYS izrađena je mreža te je provedena računalna simulacija strujanja u FLUENT-u. Da bi se izabrala optimalna izvedba kola proračun strujanja je proveden za izvedbe sa 28, 30 i 32 lopatice.

Abstract

Water wheels are one of the oldest hydraulic machines known to mankind. Water owing over an array of blades mounted on a wheel turns the wheel and generates mechanical work which is transmitted through an axle to other machines. There are three basic types of water wheels, depending on the spot where water strikes the wheel: undershot wheel, overshot wheel and breastshot wheel. Using the software package SOLIDWORKS, a model of the wheel is created. In order to get the hydraulic characteristics of the wheel, a mesh is created with the ANSYS software package and computer simulation of ow is done with the FLUENT software package. In order to choose an optimal version of wheel, ow calculation is done for versions with 28, 30 and 32 blades.
