Abstract (Croatian)

U teorijskom dijelu opisani su korozijski procesi i objašnjene metode zaštite od korozije. Opširnije je objašnjeno područje primjene inhibitora korozije u sredstvima za hlađenje, podmazivanje i ispiranje koja se koriste pri tehnologijama obrade odvajanjem čestica. U eksperimentalnom dijelu ispitana je djelotvornost L-triptofana (aminokiseline) kao netoksičnog inhibitora korozije ugljičnog čelika u emulziji za hlađenje i vodovodnoj vodi. Njegovo djelovanje je zatim uspoređeno s djelovanjem komercijalnog inhibitora VpCI-645. Elektrokemijskim mjerenjima određena je otpornost materijala Rp, brzina korozije vkor i korozijski potencijal Ekor te je određena djelotvornost odnosno efikasnost zaštite.

Abstract

The theoretical part of this study describes corrosion processes and explains methods of corrosion protection. The application of the corrosion inhibitors used in metalworking fluids is more briefly described. In the experimental part, the efficiency of L-tryptophan (amino acid) as a non-toxic carbon steel corrosion inhibitor used in emulsion was examined. Its effect was then compared with the effectiveness of protection of the VpCI-645 commercial inhibitor. Using electrochemical measurements the resistance of the material Rp, the corrosion rate vcor and the corrosion potential Ecor were determined. Also, the efficacy or effectiveness of the protection was determined.
