Abstract (Croatian)
U teorijskom dijelu rada su opisani aluminij i aluminijeve legure, njihova svojstva i podjela aluminijevih legura te primjena u zrakoplovstvu. Objašnjeno je nastajanje korozije kod aluminija i aluminijevih legura, te na koji se način može povećati njihova otpornost na koroziju. Pojašnjena je metoda zaštite aluminija pomoću rijetkih zemljanih elemenata – lantanoida kao inhibitora korozije. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada na uzorcima aluminijeve legure 2024 T3 provedena su elektrokemijska korozijska ispitivanja koja su se sastojala od mjerenja potencijala strujnog kruga, linearne polarizacije, potenciodinamičke anodno – katodne polarizacije i elektrokemijske impendacijske spektroskopije s ciljem istraživanja učinkovitosti cerijevog klorida na povećanje otpornosti na koroziju.
Abstract
In theoretical part, aluminium and aluminium alloys, with their properties and classification, are explained. Their applications to aeronautical engineering is also described. The formation of corrosion on aluminium and aluminium alloys is explained, as well as mechanisms on how to increase their corrosion resistance. A method of protection of aluminium and aluminium alloys from corrosion with rare earth elements, lanthanides as corrosion inhibitors, is explained. In the experimental part, electrochemical experiments were carried out on the samples of 2024 T3 alloy, which consist of measuring open circuit potential, linear polarisation, potentiodynamic anodic – cathodic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy; with aim to investigate efficiency of cerium chloride to corrosion resistance.
