Abstract (Croatian)

U radu su dani osnovni izrazi iz kombinirane teorije elementarnog kraka i teorije diska te poboljšane teorije elementarnog kraka i teorije vrtloga s osnovnim pretpostavkama. Nakon što su dane teoretske osnove opisane su mogućnosti i način rada programa otvorenog koda Jblade i Qprop koji koriste navedene teoretske formulacije za računanje aerodinamičkih koeficijenata propelera. Potom su odabrana tri propelera različitih veličina i geometrija za validaciju opisanih programa u različitim operacijskim uvjetima. Definirana je geometrija propelera zajedno s aerodinamičkim koeficijentima korištenih aeroprofila i izrađeni su modeli u oba programa za sva tri propelera. Poslije provedenih istraživanja programskih paketa u Jbladeu i Qpropu analizirani su dobiveni rezultati i uspoređeni međusobno, kao i s eksperimentalnim rezultatima istih propelera. Na kraju je donesen zaključak o performansama samih programa te prednostima i nedostatcima istih.

Abstract

In this thesis blade element momentum theory and advanced blade element vortex theory are described with basic assumptions and equations. After explaining the theoretical fundamentals, possibilities and working methods of open source programs Jblade and Qprop that use mentioned formulations to calculate aerodynamic coefficients of propeller are given. Then, three propellers of different shape and size are chosen for validation of described programs in different operating conditions. Geometry is defined along with the aerodynamic coefficients of used airfoils and models of all three propellers are made in both programs. After the simulation in Jblade and Qprop are carried out, the given results are compared in between as well as with the experimental results of the same propellers. In the end, the conclusion of both programs performances is made by comparing advantages and disadvantages of each one.
