Svi proizvođači motora s unutarnjim izgaranjem nastoje povećati stupanj djelovanja motora i time smanjiti potrošnju goriva. Jedno od rješenja je sustav isključivanja cilindara. Pri niskom opterećenju i nižim brzinama vrtnje motora se isključuje određeni broj cilindara i time postižu povoljniji režimi rada dok su pri većim opterećenjima i većim brzinama vrtnje svi cilindri uključeni što znači da još uvijek raspolažemo s dovoljno snažnim motorom. Isključivanjem cilindara se radni cilindri dovode u područje većeg opterećenja (većeg indiciranog rada) i niže specifične indicirane potrošnje goriva. Pored većeg indiciranog rada, dolazi i do smanjenja ukupnog trenja motora. U ovom radu prikazani su rezultati simulacija provedenih na Ottovom motoru bez i s isključivanjem cilindara. Računalne simulacije provedene su u programskom paketu AVL BOOST™ verzija 2013.2. Radne točke motora su odabrane tako da one odgovaraju brzini kretanja vozila konstantnom brzinom horizontalnim putem od 50 km/h, 80km/h i 130 km/h. Na kraju su prikazani i objašnjeni simulacijski rezultati u pogledu potrošnje goriva i utjecaja na emisiju štetnih plinova.

Abstract

All manufacturers of internal combustion engines are attempting to increase engine performance and thereby reduce fuel consumption. One of the solutions is the cylinder deactivation system. At low loads and lower engine speeds a certain number of cylinders is deactivated, thus achieving more favorable operating modes while at higher loads and higher engine speeds all cylinders are active, which means we still have a sufficiently powerful engine. By deactivating cylinders, the working cylinders are at a higher load (greater indicated work) and lower specific fuel consumption. In addition to a greater indicated work, there is also a reduction in overall engine friction. This paper presents the results of simulations carried out on a Otto engine without and with cylinder deacticationa. Computer simulations were cunducted in the AVL BOOST™ version 2013.2 software package. The engine's operating points were selected to match the speed of a vehicle driving on a horizontal road at constant speed of 50 km / h, 80 km / h and 130 km / h. Finally, the simulation results of the fuel consumption and the emission of exhaust gases were presented and explained.
