Toplinska obrada metala najčešće se provodi postupkom kaljenja, a sastoji se od zagrijavanja obratka na temperaturu austenizacije, držanja na toj temperaturi i intenzivnog gašenja (ohlađivanja) u svrhu postizanja martenzitne strukture. Sposobnost ohlađivanja sredstava za gašenje uglavnom ovisi o toplinskim svojstvima metala i debljini obratka, ali i o sposobnosti sredstva za gašenje da odvodi toplinu s obratka. Kako bi se smanjila opasnost od nastajanja napetosti, pukotina i deformacija obradaka, važno je pravilno izabrati sredstvo za gašenje. U radu je opisano ispitivanje svojstava ulja za gašenje pomoću sonde (Inconel 600) za tri različita ulja: AICHELIN, SCHWARZ i SITI. Iz eksperimentalno dobivenih rezultata ovisnosti temperature o vremenu hlađenja, utvrđena je maksimalna brzina ohlađivanja prema standardu ISO 9950.

Abstract

Heat treatment of metals is most often carried out by the process of hardening and consists of heating workpiece to the temperature of austenitization, keeping it at this temperature for the time required, and intense cooling to create a martensitic structure. Ability of different types of cooling media to cool the workpiece mailny depends on the thermal properties of the metal and the thickness of the workpiece, but also on the ability of cooling media to extract the heat from the workpiece. To reduce the risk of tensions, cracks and deformations, it is important to properly select the cooling media. This paper describes testing of the quenching oil properties using a probe (Inconel 600) in three different oils: AICHELIN, SCHWARZ and SITI. From the experimentally obtained results of the temperature dependence of the cooling time, the maximum cooling rate according to ISO 9950 was determined.
