Abstract (Croatian)

Abstract

Thermal energy is an unavoidable physical quantity in many segments of industry and building. Thermal energy measurement enables determination of efficiency for an energy source as well as estimation of heat losses at the consumer. Based on the delivered energy measurement, the producers can make the billing, in accordance with country regulations. Those regulations prescribe the measurement conditions, procedures as well as the criteria that must be meet by the heat meters. One of the mentioned criteria is related to required accuracy of an heat meter. Determination of conformity of an heat meter with the required accuracy level is defined by the related standard and harmonized on the European level. This paper gives a brief overview of HRN EN 1434 standard, which is related to heat meters. In accordance with the requirements predescribed by the mentioned standard, two thermal energy meters produced by Siemens (model 2WR5051-5CC10-6KB9) were tested by using two independent testing systems, both being situated at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb: 1. system MK10/15-40, Laboratory for Thermal Energy (LTE) 2. system ACTARIS RAC2200/1/5-AG-EH, Laboratory for Process Measurement (LPM) Together with the results of the performed measurements, paper also gives the description of estimation of related measurement uncertainties, technical descriptions of both testing systems and tested heat meters as well as the comparison of the results obtained by using two independent testing systems.
