Abstract (Croatian)
Abstract
Nowdays, bus is one of the most common mode of transport in cities, towns, rural areas, for suburb to central business district transportation etc. The trend of hybridization and electrification of vehicle propulsion system reflected also on buses. In this paper the main focus is on city transport, so the lowfloor minibus was considered, because it is the representative of this mode of transport. The first chapter is about buses in general. Also, it reveals the characteristics and methods of constructing an electric and hybrid bus. The second chapter deals with the stability and manoeuvrability analysis and performance of low floor minibus. The analysis were simulated in CarSim software and the graphics present the results. The next chapter provides an overview of existing electric and hybrid buses that are already available on the market, conventional architecture configuration of this vehicles and theirs technical characteristics. In addition, it specifies the complete solutions that are already on the market and individual components which can be combined in functional composition. The second part of this paper presents suspension kinematic analysis simulated in Lotus Suspension Analysis application, functional decomposition and morphological matrix. It points out all suspension and propulsion system components that were used to create the concepts of electric and hybrid minibus. Among three proposed concepts, the documentation was made for the most favourable one.
