Abstract (Croatian)

Materijali na bazi tehničke keramike nalaze svoju široku primjenu u mnogim tehničkim rješenjima i konstrukcijama. Još uvijek područje istraživanja svojstava i upotrebe keramičkih materijala nije u potpunosti istraženo. Najraširenija njihova primjena je u situacijama gdje vladaju velika mehanička opterećenja, visoke temperature i jako korozijsko dijelovanje okolonog medija. Upravo zbog povoljnog ponašanja u takvim uvjetima leži potencijalna upotreba keramičkih materijala u tribosustavu kao što je kočni disk – kočna pločica gdje prevladavaju procesi jakog kliznog trošenja. U radu su izrađeni uzorci monolitne aluminij oksidne, te kompozitne aluminij oksidne – cirkonij oksidne keramike s različitim udjelima konstituenata te su ispitana njihova keramička svojstva, mjeren je faktor trenja te je mjereno trošenje u radu s diskom kočnog sustava. Također, usporedbe radi, ispitana su tribološka svojstva jedne komercijalno dostupne kočne pločice.

Abstract

Materials based on technical ceramics are widely used in many technical solutions and designs. Still, the field of exploration of properties and the use of ceramic materials has not been fully explored. The most widely used application is in situations where high mechanical loads, high temperatures and corrosion of the surrounding media are dominated. Precisely because of the favorable behavior in such conditions lies the potential usage of ceramic materials in the tribo system such as a brake disk - brake pad where the processes of strong sliding wear prevail. In this paper, samples of monolithic alumina and composite alumina - zirconia ceramics with different amount of constituents have been produced and their ceramic properties tested, friction factor was measured, and brake wear was recorded. Also, in comparison, the tribological properties of a commercially available brake pad has been tested.
