Abstract (Croatian)

Nerazorne metode ispitivanja primjenjuju se s ciljem pronalaska nepravilnosti, karakterizacije materijala ili mjerenja određenih karakteristika komponenata konstrukcije. Ultrazvučna ispitivanja su jedna od najčešće korištenih NDT metoda za karakterizaciju materijala. U posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća istraživači diljem svijeta su proveli opsežna ispitivanja kako bi opisala mikrostrukturna i mehanička svojstva materijala ultrazvučnim ispitivanjem. Ovaj rad naglašava ovisnost između brzine zvuka i stanja induciranog naprezanja u području elastične deformacije pod tlačnim opterećenjem. Prikazani rezultati temelje se na dva uzorka različitih materijala i tri kompresijska opterećenja te su potrebna daljnja ispitivanja kako bi se utvrdila i kvantificirala ovisnost.

Abstract

Non-destructive testing techniques are used to find irregularities in materials, material characterization or measuring specific characteristics of components. Ultrasonic testing is one of the widely used NDT techniques for material characterization. In the past few decades, researchers all over the world have carried out extensive study to characterize, both microstructural and mechanical properties of materials by ultrasonic testing. This paper highlights the dependency between sound velocity and induced stress state in elastic deformation region under a state of compression. The presented results have been based on only two material samples and three compression loads and further work is needed to consolidate and quantify the variation of the dependency.
