Abstract (Croatian)

U novije vrijeme, povećanje osviještenosti po pitanju zaštite okoliša i interes za razvoj tehnoloških rješenja koja bi doprinijela smanjenju ispuštanja štetnih plinova nije zaobišao ni brodograđevnu industriju. U fazi osnivanja broda potrebno je obratiti posebnu pozornost na energetsku učinkovitost broda. Veličina kojom se izražava takva učinkovitost naziva se projektni indeks energetske učinkovitosti (EEDI). Od 1. siječnja 2013. godine, novi brodovi moraju zadovoljiti referentnu razinu EEDI-a za određeni tip broda. Razina emisije mora se pooštriti svakih pet godina. Zbog toga se očekuje da će EEDI potaknuti nastavak inovacija i tehnički razvoj svih komponenata koje utječu na energetsku učinkovitost broda. EEDI je izražen u gramima ugljičnog dioksida ( ) po prevezenoj toni i milji (što je manji EEDI brod je energetski učinkovitiji) i računa se pomoću izraza koji se temelji na tehničkim projektnim parametrima za određeni brod. U ovom radu analiziran je EEDI na primjeru broda za prijevoz rasutog tereta „Stoja“ koji je izgrađen u pulskom brodogradilištu Uljanik. Uz analizu dostupne literature, koja se prvenstveno odnosi na regulatorni okvir u području energetske učinkovitosti brodova, proveden je proračun EEDI-a za gore navedeni brod, kao i njegova usporedba sa zahtijevanom vrijednošću, oslanjajući se na proračunske veličine dobivene od brodogradilišta. Analiziran je utjecaj pojedinih proračunskih veličina na vrijednost EEDI-a, te općenito mogućnosti poboljšanja projekta s aspekta energetske učinkovitosti.

Abstract

Recently, the increase of awareness of environmental protection and interest in the development of technological solutions to reduce the release of harmful gases has not escaped the shipbuilding industry either. Special attention has to be paid to the ship's energy efficiency during the ship's design phase. The quantity to express ship's efficiency is called the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI). As of January first 2013, new ships must meet the EEDI reference level, defined for a certain type of ship. The level of emitted must be sharpened every five years. Therefore, it is expected that EEDI will stimulate the continuos innovation and technical development of all components that will affect the energy efficiency of the ship. EEDI is expressed in grams of carbon dioxide ( ) per ton and mile transported (the smaller the EEDI the more energy efficient the ship is) and is calculated using a formula based on technical design parameters for a particular vessel. In this thesis, EEDI was analyzed on the example of the „Stoja“ bulk carrier that was built at the Uljanik shipyard in Pula. Along with the analysis of available literature, which is primarily concerned with the regulatory framework in the field of energy efficiency of ships, an EEDI calculation for the above-mentioned vessel was made, as well as its comparison with the required value, relying on the input data obtained from the shipyard. The impact of calculation parameters on the value of EEDI and the general improvement of the project's energy efficiency were analyzed.
