Abstract (Croatian)

U radu je opisana kombinirana teorija elementarnog kraka i teorije diska, s osnovnim pretpostavkama, prednostima i izrazima. Zatim je razrađen model za numeričku implementaciju navedene teorije te je primjenjen na dva propelera poznate geometrije, a rezultati su potvrđeni usporedbom s eksperimentalnim mjerenjima. Pri tome je razmatran utjecaj Reynoldsovog broja na aerodinamičke karakteristike aeroprofila u presjeku krakova, dok su utjecaj Machovog broja i gubitak na vrhovima krakova zanemareni, a strujanje zraka promatrano kao ravninsko. Model je zatim primjenjen na propeler pretpostavljene geometrije, korišten na letjelici HUSZ Tern za koju su motor i propeler unaprijed zadani. Dobiveni rezultati korišteni su za analizu raspona brzina kojima letjelica može letjeti te mogućih poboljšanja.

Abstract

In this thesis the Blade Element Momentum theory is described with its basic assumptions, advantages and equations. A model is developed for numerical implementation of given theory and applied to two propellers with known geometry, and the results are confirmed by comparison to experimental mesurements. In this process, the effect of Reynolds number on aerodynamic characteristics of aerofoils in blade sections is considered while Mach number influence and tip loss are neglected and the flow is considered two-dimensional. The model is then applied to a propeller of assumed geometry which was used on HUSZ Tern aircraft. The engine and propeller for this aircraft were given. The results are used to analyze the speed range for the aircraft and possible improvements.
