Abstract (Croatian)

Bušenje kosti je čest postupak u koštano zglobnoj kirurgiji koji se koristi kod sanacije prijeloma kosti. Uspjeh ovog kirurškog postupka ovisi o puno čimbenika, a većim dijelom o stvaranju topline tijekom procesa. Do sada je objavljen niz istraživanja u kojima je razmatran utjecaj mnoštva parametara na dinamiku bušenja medicinskim svrdlom i njihov je pregled dan u prvom dijelu rada. Međutim, u većini slučajeva nisu razmatrani parametri iz područja visokobrzinske obrade, kao ni njihov utjecaj na dinamiku trošenja medicinskog svrdla. Stoga je u drugom dijelu radu napravljen eksperiment u kojem su razmatrani utjecaji visokobrzinskih i niskobrzinskih parametara obrade te dinamike trošenja alata na sile rezanja i temperaturu bušenja. Rezultati pokazuju da se visokobrzinskim parametrima obrade mogu ostvariti niže temperature bušenja u odnosu na niskobrzinske.

Abstract

Bone drilling is a common procedure in traumatology and orthopedics. Success of this surgical procedure depends on a lot of factors, with one of the most important being heat generation during drilling. So far, a number of papers have been published in which the effects of different parameters on drilling process have been investigated. A brief overview of the published studies is provided in the first part of this paper. However, very few studies investigated the effects of high-speed machining on drilling temperature and drill wear. Hence, the second part of this paper investigates the influence of tool wear, with two different cutting parameters (conventional and high-speed), on the drilling temperatures and cutting forces. Results show that high-speed machining can achieve lower drilling temperatures compared to conventional machining.
